Having a Dog Trainer to help coach you can be beneficial for those seeking accountability, motivation, and personalized strategies to achieve specific goals or navigate life transitions.
Identifying Goals and Clarifying Values:
1. Coaches help clients understand what they truly want to achieve in their lives, whether it's relationship improvements, personal development, or another goal with their dogs.
Coaches use techniques like questioning and active listening to help clients uncover their values and identify their desired outcomes.
2. Developing Actionable Plans:
Once goals are defined, coaches assist in creating a step-by-step plan to achieve them.
They may help break down large goals into smaller, more manageable steps and set deadlines.
3. Overcoming Obstacles and Challenges:
Coaches help clients identify any obstacles or barriers that might be preventing them from reaching their goals.
They provide support, encouragement, and motivation to help clients overcome these challenges.
4. Building Accountability and Staying on Track:
Coaches hold clients accountable for their actions and encourage them to stay on track with their plans.
They provide regular feedback and check-ins to ensure clients are making progress.
5. Providing Motivation and Inspiration:
Coaches are supportive and encouraging, helping clients stay motivated and focused on their goals.
6. Focusing on the Present and Future:
Coaches are solution-focused and don't typically delve into past traumas or unresolved issues.
They concentrate on helping clients move forward and create a positive future.
Clients are welcome to email with questions or concerns, and updates throughout the duration of our work together. While there is no strict limit on the number of emails, to maintain effective communication, efficiency and ensure timely and thoughtful responses, I kindly request that non-urgent inquiries be consolidated into one message per day whenever possible.
Email responses are provided Monday through Friday, with a typical response time of 24-48 hours.
Online Canine Coaching is a great way to help get the support you need.
I will help you set up goals, break down training in an easier step by step format to help you
overcome challenges and create action plans so you can start in the right direction.
Support may include follow-up emails, training exercises, and accountability check-ins - all conducted remotely.
Owners will be required to send detailed information on their dog's day to day life which includes:
-Daily Training
-Daily Exercise
-Daily Activities
-Daily Feeding Schedules
-Daily Interactions with Everyone in The Household
-Dogs Overall Health and Most Recent Vet Visit
-All and Any Training Your Dog Has Received and From Where
-Your Desired Goals to Reach with and For Your Dog
-and any other information that may be helpful or I deem as necessary this may include video and photos of your dog.
Online Canine Coaching is geared towards working you through one problem at a time.
Certain Training and certain Behaviors may be able to be combined together to reach your goals.
(Typically, no more than 2 requests will be combined.)
If you are having multiple problems, a larger program will need to be designed to meet you and your dog's personal needs. A longer program will also result in additional fees.
After the questionnaire has been filled out and returned to L.S.K9.D, you will receive a straight to point step by step guide to help break down training commands or how to manage and work through behaviors. I will create goals for you in a timely manner for them to be reached. However, it is important to note that not all dogs learn at the same pace or in the same way.
If your dog is having trouble learning cues, we need first allow a "grace period" for your dog to have time to understand the new directions and methods that are being implemented for them.
Daily consistency and practice session are important and are required for learning. Before you determine your dog isn't understanding you through clear communication, make sure to ask yourself "have I been establishing clear communication and multiple sessions daily?"
If the answer is "yes you have" then we can make any necessary changes for your dog's learning process.
Dogs are individuals and should be treated as such. Just because one way of training worked great for one dog, does not mean it will have the same positive effects for others.
This is why I will always strive to create training that is tailored for the specific needs required for dogs and their families.
